TANK is crucial for engineers designing and analyzing storage tanks. Its comprehensive features, international standards compliance, and user-friendly interface ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Using TANK helps engineers streamline workflows, reduce risks, and deliver high-quality solutions for clients.
What is TANK®
TANK is a comprehensive tool for the design, analysis, and evaluation of storage tanks used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, and more. This software is widely used for ensuring that storage tanks are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
TANK provides for the design and analysis of wall and bottom plate thickness, supported cone roofs, service and maintenance considerations and other factors affecting tank design and safety, such as internal pressure, shell settlement, seismic and wind. TANK saves time by
letting users select material information automatically from its extensive built-in material databases.
Overview
Why use TANK?
TANK is used to ensure that oil storage tanks are designed and constructed in accordance with applicable international design and safety codes, which concern the safe storage and distribution of crude oil typically but can also be applied to the design of tanks used to store other flammable/non-flammable liquids.
The solution performs calculations in accordance with the latest API standards 650, 620, and 653. Analysis can also consider wind, seismic and settlement conditions - plus it can calculate air venting requirements to API 2000 Section 4.3.
Who uses TANK?
Companies involved in the design and manufacture, or operation and maintenance of oil storage tanks.
Due to the wide variation in design and application of pressure equipment, PV Elite is used in many different industries. PV Elite can help ensure the containment is fit for purpose in any industry where a fluid is stored in a vessel, or wherever heat exchangers are used in cooling or heating processes – such as:
